Wellllllllllllllllllllllll - you just said what I was sayin'.

Now, what devout, believing Jew, a true child of Abraham in the OT would have NOT taken part in the sacrifices?

So, while it is not necessary to participate in these things for salvation, why would we throw out the practices altogether, which is the practice to which I am reacting to?

Actually, that Jew would have been correct! Romans chapter 4 makes it clear that savation has always been through faith ALONE. From Abraham (before the law), to David (within the law), and Paul (after the law). Check out Romans 4:13 specifically, and all of Galatians chapter 3.

Abraham "believed God and it was credited to him as rightesousness"--no works whatsoever. Also the book of Galatians makes it clear that the law was never intended to "save" us (as in justification), but to serve as a tutor to us that we must be saved through faith. Also check out Romans 3:20-22.

Grace was not and is not now imparted through keeping the law--and if God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, he cannot have suddenly changed--so it cannot be now either.

Today it's the same. It is through faith alone... You add ANYTHING to faith alone, and you have added works to salvation and according to Pauls' words in Galatians 1:8-9, that's bad.

BUT we must be careful how we use the term "salvation." There is a sense in which we have been saved (past), are being saved (present), and will be saved (future). All three tenses are used in the NT. The three tenses refer to: Justification (a one-time act whereby we are "declared righteous"), sanctification (an ongoing process throughout our lives whereby we are being conformed to the image of Christ -- Romans 8:29), and glorification (future where we will be with God forever and free from the presence of sin).

In a sense I agree with you--participating in things like baptism and the Lord's table are necessary for our salvation--(as in SANCTIFICATION)--but not for imparting saving grace (as in JUSTIFICATION).

Otherwise how do you handle verses like Eph 2:8-9; Romans 3:22, 28, 30; John 3:16 among many others???

I am interested in UC therapy, and have a few questions after reading this post:

1) Where is Dr. Jim Fiore’s e-mail about the Atlas Profilax? And what is your opinion of it? Do you have a thorough post on it? I am considering getting it done, and would love to read more about it.

2) <a href="http://www.thepowerofuppercervical.com/" rel="nofollow">This site</a> says in the intro that it can improve eyesight...possibly like <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1210696/Pensioner-ditches-jam-jar-specs-stroke-gives-20-20-vision.html" rel="nofollow">this case</a>? Have you seen any myopia improve from UC therapy?

3) Where can we find a local practitioner of UC?

Thank You!

Direct marketing is an efficient way to market anything, in our case health care, so say, surveys that are not too complicated which purpose is to (1) evoke interest and (2) gather market research information that can be used to create other marketing and advertising material are indeed of great help!

I have a 30 year old daughter who suffers with migraines. We had hoped these might subside with her recent pregnancy, but unfortunately she suffered with them through the majority of her pregnancy and is still suffering with them. Since she nurses the baby she hates to be medicated for them, but has had to resort to seeing a pain mgmt. doctor a couple times for shots in her cervical area and forhead, just above her eye. I recently heart of NUCCA therapy but the closest NUCCA doc is nearly 100 miles away. After much research on the web, I discovered Atlas Orthogonal therapy to be nearly the same type of therapy. I located an AO doc 60 miles from our home town & decided to make an appt. My daughter was x-rayed and found that her upper cervical was 150% off from alignment, told she has kyphosis of the upper cervical and that is why she has both TMJ and migraines. After driving to visit the AO doc on the 3rd day she was informed of the extensiveness of the therapy she will require to reverse the condition. Unfortunately the distance of the office along with the cost, since the doctor is out of her insurance network, virtually makes it impossible for her to continue treatment. However, through further research, I have found that Orthospinology does a similar treatment as NUCCA & AO, and there happens to be an Orthospinology Chiropractor locally and he is also within her insurance network. Could you please tell me if she would get the same result from an Orthospinology Chirop. as she would from a NUCCA or AO Chiropractor? Also, is it possible for a chiropractor to reverse this condition? Any information you can give me will be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I just read the above link all about the "sugar coating" of the story about how Doc left Kale to start the KCUCS. To say the least its a super lame attempt at making Doc look like a Traitor.....or maybe not a traitor but a ***** or something. He talks about how this guy (he doesn't even say his name in the article which i found stupid) doesn't tell the truth about Kale's history or current existence and all this pathetic lame mumbo jumbo. Perhaps he "sugar coated" it BECAUSE HE WAS TRYING TO BE RESPECTFUL AND NICE. "sugar coating" is what nice people do! And then the author talks all about finding out the true story for ourselves....like i freaking have time to research why doc left Kale...i don't care. i just look at the work being done and the men doing it. and lemme tell you....the KCUCS are some amazing men doing amazing work.

Carol,
Great story! One thing I have noticed in practice (not universally, but more often than not) is that migraine patients have typically more than 4 degrees of rotation between C1 and C2. I had one epileptic consult who never elected to continue with care that had 12 degrees of rotation between those bones! I was actually really hoping he would come back, as I wanted to write him up as a case study.

The reason I bring up the migraine patients is that the most typical drugs prescribed for migraine relief are anti-seizure medications ... makes you wonder.

I'd be very interested to know if any other UC docs out there have been seeing significant relative rotation between C1 and C2 in patients with epilepsy and/or migraines.

I wish your daughter all the best, and would suggest you mention the C1-C2 relative rotation to your UC doc as a point to re-evaluate at some point to see if there is any correlation between reduction of that measurement and reduction of your daughter's epilepsy symptoms.

I have a 21yr old daughter who began having grand mal seizures four years ago. No tests could determine why she was having the seizures. The frequency of the seizures occurred between two to three monthes apart the first two years. The last two years, the seizures have been more frequent; during times of stess is the main time of occurrance. She will be a senior at university this Fall and maintains a 4.0gpa. The nuerologist she sees at the University of Utah Epileptic Center ups her dose of meds after each episode. Maurissa, my daughter, hit her left temporal area of her head in a tetherball accident when she was 11. Her left pupil was not properly dialating for a few hours after the incident. Within six monthes of the incident, she had what we now realize was her first seizure. Nothing at the children's hospital revealed any abnormalities. No more seizures followed that one until she was at the end of her junior year in highschool. However, four years after the tetherball accident, it was discovered she has a serious jaw disorder. The joint in her left jaw joint is 2/3 gone. 1/2 is gone in her right side. One year after this diagnosis, she began having seizures and continues to this day. In April she had three seizures in a matter of two weeks. The nuerologist wants to change meds, and at some point set up a video eeg to determine if surgery is necessary. As Maurissa's seizres are in her frontal lobe, surgery is somethin she said she will never consider. I got on line to find alternative therapies for seizure and Erin Elster out of Boulder CO popped up. My daughter goes to school in Laramie WY, so Boulder is only two hours away for her. I'm in SLC UT, but am willing to do what it takes. Just this week, Erin determined that her upper cervical C1 and C2 have held. Time is what will prove the success of upper cervical therapy, but my family fully sees a logic in the therapy we have not seen in traditional medicine. Drugs for seizure treatment are harsh, and some day we hope to take our daughter off them. Any thoughts are always welcome.
