5 Fun Ways To Get More Patients From The Web

Last week, I gave a presentation to the local chamber of commerce on how the web can be utilized to get more contacts (and business) from the web, without spending an extra dime, even if you don’t have a website.

It was a huge hit, so I conformed the presentation to fit you, the upper cervical doctor because I thought you might like to learn how you can get more patients from the web using the same ideas.

It’s called 5 Fun Ways To Get More Patients From The Web and you can see and hear the presentation by going to SlideShare, or just watch it below.

These are some fun ways to use the web, that work better if you have a website to send patients to, but still work to get more patients even if you don’t have a website (I explain it all in the slide presentation).

I hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think, and if there’s anything I can help you with, just let me know.

Hi Dr. Paul, great video. I am an Internet Marketing Consultant for Chiropractors. I help Chiropractors grow their practice online with an effective website. However, I also teach them about using Social Media sites like Youtube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, to name a few to drive traffic to their website to get more visibility online. I definitely agree with using social media marketing; however, I strongly disagree with you in that one does not need a website in this day and age.

Today, having a website is as necessary as having a phone number. With over 63 percent of consumers going online to search locally for products and services, it would be suicide to say that you don’t need a website. And keep in mind that although Yahoo is the number 2 website, Google gets 80 percent of the search market. In other words, Google gets 1.2 billion searches a day to Yahoo’s 200 million per day. That’s a huge difference, so it’s important for the Chiropractor that’s looking to get new patients in his door from the internet to be one click away from the largest search engine in the world. And a sure-fire way of doing this is by having a website that’s educational, search engine optimized and interactive.

Sandra, I couldn’t agree with you more completely. Having a website is as necessary as having a phone number these days, and you do need to be found on Google, you do need to be one click away.

The point of this presentation was that it is possible to get found without a website, and if you do have a website, these tactics will get more traffic.

I do not and would never encourage a doctor or business owner not to have a website.

You should have one, and you are hurting your business if you don’t have one (I feel the same way about printed and mailed newsletters), but the truth is, that when it comes to serving patient’s needs, 99.9% of the time, it ends up with a phone call, and these fun things can make the phone ring.

    Thanks for your comment.

Absolutely! One more thing to use is email marketing – chiropractors have tons of emails of potential patients obtained from local health fairs, events, workshops … as well as existing patients that have to be put into use.

Direct marketing is an efficient way to market anything, in our case health care, so say, surveys that are not too complicated which purpose is to (1) evoke interest and (2) gather market research information that can be used to create other marketing and advertising material are indeed of great help!
